My trip to Walker Bay Lodge was special because it was a birthday gift from my partner as well as our 1st mini holiday together and the Lodge did not disappoint. The remote setup was exactly the break we needed from the city. Quiet, no distractions and every inch of the lodge is thoughtfully decorated to make you feel at home. After the drama of the Stanford fires and also experiencing car trouble, we gratefully arrived safely and we were immediately made to feel like we had arrived home. Kate is an excellent host and is on the ball with her communication and the home made meals are better than restaurants! We felt safe and cared for and the included breakfast buffet was an absolute treat. Thank you to everyone that made our trip so special and memorable.
The location is isolated, inside a nature reserve. Surrounded by undisturbed landscape, with 360 degree views from the property. The room was exactly as pictured. Very comfortable bed. Excellent fresh breakfast, with selection of cold items laid out and warm items cooked to order. Nice to choose whether to dine at the property in evening. Welcoming hosts. Central living and dining area available for relaxation outside of room. Photo is of natural landscape viewed from the lodge towards the sea.
Kate and Blessed run a 5 star, even 6 star, operation in the middle of what can only be described as a nature reserve. From the time we arrived, till we left, we were looked after. From restaurant recommendations, to amending the 3-course dinner to fit our dietary requirements, to tailoring the hot tub to our desired temperature, this place has got the secret formula. The buffet breakfast/hot plated breakfast was tasty and fresh, and everything was done with a smile. Thank you for looking after us, we'll see you soon!

Kate and Blessed were incredible hosts to us. From the initial booking process to our check out. They were so kind and considerate and ensured that we were always comfortable. Their hospitality was truly phenomenal and made us feel at home. You would never say that we were strangers than met over a weekend - they felt like family. I would definitely recommend the Lodge to anyone looking for a weekend getaway from the noise of the city and who needs a time out in complete tranquil nature and bliss.
