We had such an amazing weekend. It's the perfect place to switch off, relax, and enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the bush. The camp is clean, well looked after, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay without losing that authentic bush feel. Thank you for a wonderful weekend—we've made some great memories and will definitely be back!

We were pleasantly surprised by Thorn Tree Bush Camp and the hospitality we experienced. From the word go, the information provided to us was comprehensive and we knew exactly how the access, directions and process worked. We camped for 5 nights on the Kudu campsite. Magda made sure that there were no hiccups with our booking and promptly provided any information we requested. Our camping space was private, spacious and we had ample shade trees all around. Rodney visited regularly and it turned into a informative, most enjoyable visit each time! KayKay and Timothy made sure that our braai was cleaned every day and the fire was lit so that we had hot water to shower with. The ablutions were sparkling and had enough hanging and storage space for our needs. In addition to the regular Koro Koro visits, the chatter of the Southern pied babbler, starlings and the kudus across the fence, we had the privilege of seeing a cheetah and her juvenile cub on the last day. When we had problems with a dead battery, the whole team was there to help. We are not done yet and will definitely visit this incredible, peaceful resort again as soon as we possibly can. Thorn Tree Bush Camp staff are the nicest, friendliest and most accommodating bunch we have had the privilege of meeting in a long time. You go, Thorn Tree Bush Lodge. Keep up the good work….

I would rate this accommodation 3 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, there was no room service available during my stay, and the property appeared somewhat neglected, with several chairs showing significant wear and tear. While the bushveld setting has great potential for a peaceful and relaxing experience, the lodge is situated very close to the main road. The constant noise from passing vehicles detracted from the tranquility and natural sounds of the bushveld, making it difficult to fully enjoy the surroundings.

We had the absolute best time! We had only night but we really wanted longer. We stayed in the tented cabin and it is so well equipped and comfortable! We had a slow dinner by the fire with a glass of wine and woke up to an early morning bush walk with Natie. We had very close encounters with nature , a herd of wildebeest even slept outside our window:) :)Magda was so accommodating and arranged our game drive and walk for us on very short notice ! We will be back!

Had the best time at this location. We stayed at the tented room, which was very well equipped. The open plan bath was amazing. The furniture was classy and everything was very neat. The bed was super comfy. The staff were extremly nice and accommodating. We also did a game drive and a bush walk, the same gentleman (Natie)was the guide for both activities and he was amazing. He made the experience really fun but we also learned a lot of interesting information from him about the bush, animals and a bit of history. Overall an amazing experience and I can’t wait to stay at this location again
