We found this place on Google maps and omg what a gem. Host absolutely amazing, we had few drinks, lunch (lovely lamb pie with chips and fresh salad) We got to meet all the residents of the house including meerkat called dynamite, he loves the shoes. Thank you so much and hopefully see you soon 😍
Amazing spot to stop and recharge the soul and fridge. Definitely stopping by again. And Dynamite is the perfect car guard.
If you are on the west cost and pass by Kotzerus, Rissibiekie Padstal is a must stop. The family is so friendly and welcoming and you can stop for a much needed cold drink and lunch and beat the Karoo heat for a while.
So glad we found this place. It's run by a great family with that special Weskus hospitality. Good home cooked food and loads of interesting signs and displays. Well worth the drive to get there. We planned for a quick stop, but ended up spending over 2 hours.
Whist camping up the West Coast last month, we came across this true "Oasis Gem" in the remote village of Kotzesrus and were welcomed by Patrick and Leana the owners of this Padstal, who offer much more than just good food and an unique experience. A must "stopover" for all travellers through this area or even going out of their way to experience Rissibiekie.
