Nardouw cabin is located on the edge of the escarpment facing west towards the distant coast. The views from the cabin are mesmerizing and change throughout the day as the light changes and reflect off the surrounding sandstone buttresses. Nardouw is off the beaten track and entirely off the grid as it generates its own power from its roof top solar array. Its quiet, secluded, private and tranquil. If its time-out from the rigor's of modern city living that you yearn for, this has to be it. Mario, your host is awesome. Friendly, willing to assist but never in-you-face or pushy and ensures your accommodation is clean and in tip-top condition. Nardouw is the break from City living that everybody should experience.
Wonderful little cabin perched between the rocks of the Cedarberg, overlooking the Oliphants River Valley. The well appointed kitchen has everything you need, the bed is huge and comfortable, and the semi-outdoor shower is fantastic. Mario (your friendly host), has an eye for style and the interior of the cabin feels quite upmarket. It's pretty remote, so little to no chance of bumping into anyone else. Very hot in summer!
What an absolutely amazing experience! The cabin is perfectly situated between the rocks, with the BEST view! Beautiful and tastefully furnished with literally everything you need. The outdoor shower and facilities was a highlight, to be one with nature as nature calls (so to speak 🤣), and taking a shower with a gorgeous view… speechless. There is a variety of birds that came to parade at the cabin and flaunt their feathers and songs, and the dassies enjoy the warmth of the rocks at night right beside the cabin. The stars shine bright at night, the milky way clearly showing off its grandeur in the crystal clear sky. It was a recharge experience for body and soul, we will definitely go again in future!
Mario was a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nardouw. The facilities were clean and very neat. We had everything we needed. The huge bed was comfortable and the view from the cabin was absolutely fantastic. It is a little jewel and the surroundings were spectacular and I think all outdoor adventurers will enjoy it. The outside toilet and shower was an experience to be appreciated. We would love to go back for another visit soon. Thank you Mario
Awesome getaway at the top of a mountain. Nardouw is a special place, it is off grid has modern necessities like warm water, small fridge, phone charging points, gas cooking. It’s perfect for those who want to be in nature but still stay in a home with bed/shower etc. The views are amazing, there’s lots to do outdoors like fishing, swimming or hiking. Mario (the host) is very helpful, welcoming and accommodating.
