After some research we decided to book a birthday celebration at Bon Game. We arranged a picnic which came with a game drive as well. We must say we where pleasantly surprised at our day there. The picnic was beautifully arranged under trees and the attention to detail was excellent. Sitting there between the eland bucks where amazing. Then Ulrich took us on a game drive which was excellent and were even entertained with some real 4x4 mud action...then we returned to the restaurant and the table was beautifully prepared and we even enjoyed the staffs rendition of happy birthday. Again, having knowledge of the service industry Bon Game stands out because of the levels of service, attention to detail and excellent food. We will definitely return there and can recommend it to anybody especially if you are planning a special event. Thanks to all the staff... You made our day very special.
Beautiful scenery greats you as you dip of the highway to enter this warm and inviting Reserve. The delicious food leaves you feel well pampered and recharged. A great place to pass time and escape into the heart of nature.
Best wedding venue. We are super happy with all the arrangements for our daughters wedding. We were treated like royalty. From the planning to a few days afterwards, every member of their team went out of their way for us. The chapel is very lovely. The views are awesome. The restaurant where we had the reception is fantastic. The food portions were very generous. World class catering. We had a lovely stay at the spacious Imba House. Life changing Mineral Baths. Thank you very much for making the day so special and affordable. Elise, the owner took great care to the finer details. Bless you.
Stopped off for lunch - beautiful setting & superb service from Trasy. Portions extremely large with lovely garnishes. Starters of Skaapstertjies are very good, although I would loose the basting sauce (too sweet). Mussel starter - very generous portion- just love the garlic. Mains - Springbok with Pesto & Soy Sauce - amazing, and the Sirloin with Escargo also very good. Good wine list. Will defenitely be back. Bonus - pensioner's discount during the week. Attention to detail evident.
We spent 6days on the reserve in early December. We stayed in imba house and what a place it proved to be. The reserve while still evolving is in our opinion a hidden gem. The staff couldn't have given us a better stay. We wanted to do the park run before we left and were given an extra game drive to give us an idea of the course. We also had a complementary 2 hour game drive as part of our stay. The rangers were so friendly and also very informative. Imba house had all of the amenities that you could possibly want and we felt at home straight away. What was so memorable was relaxing in the hot tub as the sun went down,the moon came out and the game came down to graze right outside. We ate in the restaurant on several occasions and found the food to be of a very high quality yet reasonably priced. Again the service of the restaurant staff was exemplary and we particularly enjoyed the communal breakfast after the park run. In conclusion we have so many happy memories of our visit and should we return to South Africa in the future we shall surely return.We have already recommended a visit to friends in the UK who are visiting the area.
