All accommodation units at Bay View Lodge are positioned just 50 to 90 metres from the beach, offering easy access to the shoreline and partial sea views from most units. Guests can choose between self-catering, bed and breakfast, half board, or full board options, providing flexibility for every type of traveller.
The units are designed for comfort and convenience, making them ideal for both short stays and extended beach holidays.
Accommodation features include air-conditioned bedrooms with mosquito nets, fully equipped kitchens with gas stoves, ovens, microwaves, and fridge/freezers, as well as private braai (BBQ) facilities for outdoor dining. Each unit also includes an enclosed outdoor shower, adding to the authentic coastal experience.
Linen and bath towels are provided and changed weekly, while daily servicing (excluding Sundays and public holidays) ensures a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Spectacular place to stay on peninsula, at Barra beach. Owner-family and staff make you feel welcome like family. Amazing food at good prices. Beautiful cabins with equipped kitchens and hot water showers, as well as outdoor showers, and en suite bathrooms. Fast internet available in cabin for small fee, else included in common areas, including bar, restaurant. Bar staff put the football on for me. And the main attraction is an astounding beach, maybe 4k stretch, swimmable gentle shallows, dive and snorkel trips nearby. Could not be more grateful to all the crew hear for this escape.
From entering the gate with friendly security who were greeted us and by the host and hostess who kindly offered to carry our baggage. Bedding and towels was changed on a regular basis. Lovely unit with a sea view. Close to restaurants and markets as well as super spar and pool. Thank you to the lady in Jhb for promptly answering all my questions. Thank you for making us feel welcome and for going the extra mile. I tecommend Bayview. An Experience we will forever treasure with memorable memories made.
We had the best time at Bay View Lodge. Booking was simple and quick and we encountered no problems on the drive there through Giryondo. The chalets are right on the beach, where as most other lodges are behind a dune. No 4x4 needed. Friendly staff service the chalets every day and laundry are done for cheap. The market offering fresh produce is 2km away. SPAR centre with a butcher and pharmacy is a short drive away and offers everything you need. We cannot wait to go back.
Our 2nd visit. Love the place. The group house is perfect for a family or group holiday. Shawn and Wanette go out of their way to ensure your stay is memorable. It's so nice to have the unit serviced regularly by friendly staff. Fresh fish/crayfish available as well as freshly baked Portuguese rolls. Will be back 😎
The Owners are so kind. There is WiFi at the Reception area. We did self-catering. Family Cottage was very comfortable. Town is not too far to stock up on groceries. Some went 🐋 shark diving. Nice place to chill out at the pool. Restaurant close by served a delicious dinner. They do accept cash and credit cards. Nice stop over from driving before leaving for Giyirondo. Cottages and amenities very clean and comfortable. Thanks guys. Had a great time.
